Railway Society of KEIO Univ. alumni
Outline of KRC Alumni

KRC is an abbreviation of KEIO university Railway Club (The Railway society of KEIO university) established at 1934 and we are the society's alumni.
Keio University is one of the oldest universities in Japan established in 1858 by Yukichi Fukuzawa who is famous to have propagated the sense of independence.
KRC is a private society consist of the students in the university and its members love the railway and all that is concerned with it. Member of the society usually leave after graduation due to the busier life they lead and hence have less opportunity to share their knowledge with other members.
We(the alumni) still love it and after leaving university we eventually and began a sister society for ourselves in 1983, which we named KRC Alumni.
Members of both societies have cooperated and co-worked in many activities even before KRC Alumni was fully established, which is helpful as our knowledge continues to be useful across both KRC groups. In other words we still cooperate as a team through young to old members.
Of course the club is private and we are not restrained by it, but we gain pleasure from joining other members who have a common interest in the railway.
Members totaled 430 in March/2000 of over 600 of total number. Most of us are adult members and it is difficult for us to share much time for the interest. That is why we have "wide" open door policy towards rail enthusiasts. This is why we want to create this home page to encourage new members and other rail enthusiasts to be informed about our activities.
